CN4233356 · Bridging the gap between research and on farm implementation we aim to use this project to show growers the flexibility, versatility and potential profitability of winter wheats. Facilitating the implementation of seeder width, strip trials of Mowhawk sown next to and at the same time as growers spring wheat cultivar used in their respective programmes. Across 4 farms, with Mowhawk seed provided to fit into the farm programme at two times of sowing, April and May (8 demonstration sites total), to give farmers a practicable example of winter wheat production on their farm and more generally across the L/MRZ of the Esperance Port Zone. Using a combination of rapid social media content and in person extension activities to provide maximum reach and exposure to the trial and its findings. By the conclusion of this project early 2028, we aim to see growers and advisors making educated decisions on the incorporation of winter wheats into their rotations. Creating more diverse, resilient and profitable systems.

CN4218232 · Over the 2025 season the results from the one-year project FAR2403-001SAX – Winter wheat Investigation on South Coast of WA have been presented to over 250 growers and advisers at FAR Australia field days and adviser client meetings. There have been an equal number who have viewed the current Cereal Phenology trial at Frankland River NGN Cereal crop phenology investigation (FAR2504-002SAX). The trials and results have created much discussion, particularly in relation to the 2024 results which illustrated the superiority of barley over wheat, in both the Albany and Esperance Port Zones. The interest in the work and discussion surrounding the research has highlighted the need for further investigation into the early sowing comparisons of wheat and barley in the Esperance Port Zone. In the one-year 2024 NGN research the early sown plots were irrigated to get establishment and in Esperance the advantage of barley sown in late March was 2t/ha over the best wheat (either winter or spring germplasm).

CN4173202 · An opportunity exists with local growers in the Albany Port Zone to continue to investigate earlier sowing times for commercially available winter wheat varieties. With the trend towards earlier sowing dates to either satisfy large hectare programs or to take advantage of late summer rainfall utilising some winter wheat varieties as an addition to more common spring wheat varieties could allow growers to take advantage of the conditions when they can.

CN4148382 · A review of the final report from FAR2403-001SAX NGN- Winter wheat investigation on the Southcoast of WA has presented a number of questions with local growers in the Albany Port Zone to investigate earlier sowing times for commercially available winter wheat varieties. Results from the previous investment highlighted some interesting trends regarding the contribution of grain from secondary tillers in both winter wheat varieties and spring barley varieties. There is a need to continue this investigation over a 2-year period to determine if this is a common occurrence. With the trend continuing towards earlier sowing dates to either satisfy large hectare programs or to take advantage of late summer rainfall utilising some winter wheat varieties as an addition to more common spring wheat varieties could allow growers to take advantage of the conditions when they can. There is also a need to provide comparisons between different cereal crops including barley and oats to provide rotational diversity in the area.

What these values mean

Each amount is the reported full contract value, including GST where applicable, in nominal Australian dollars. It covers the reported contract period. It is not annual expenditure, cash paid, all government spending or spending in a supplier’s local area. Unexercised future options are not necessarily included.

This snapshot includes every notice in 82 consecutive weekly exports, covering 2 March 2025 to 26 September 2026, retrieved 1 October 2026 (UTC date). AusTender lists only about eighteen months of exports, so weeks before 23 March 2025 are kept from our earlier downloads. Each contract contributes its latest observed version once. Earlier versions remain available in its history; values of successive amendments are never added together. Date filters use that latest observation’s publication date, including amendments, not the contract start date.

Weekly files describe information at extraction. Later corrections, cancelled notices, or contracts with no publication in this archive may be absent. This is not the entire historical AusTender register. Some source timestamps fall just outside their file’s labelled week; their reported dates are retained. Three malformed observations have shifted columns; affected supplier/category fields are marked unavailable. Source dates in 1900 or end dates in the next century are flagged, not interpreted as ordinary durations.

Supplier grouping uses reported ABNs with a valid checksum; it is not independent verification against the business register. Missing or invalid ABNs remain separate by contract. Equal names do not establish equal legal entities. A contract award is not evidence of wrongdoing.
